Privacy policy

SignApp (sign-app.com) is an electronic signature service operated by Brookwood Capital Advisors (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when someone sends you a document to sign, or when staff use SignApp to send documents.
What we collect
If you're asked to sign a document:
- Your name and email address, provided by the person who sent you the document.
- The document itself, and anything you enter into it: signatures (drawn or typed), names, dates, text, and checkboxes.
- A record of your activity on the document: when you opened, signed, or declined it, your IP address, and your browser's user agent.
- Your agreement to sign electronically, and the exact wording you agreed to.
If you're a staff user: your email address, name, the organization you belong to, and the documents you send and their history.
How we use it
- To deliver documents, collect signatures, and produce the completed document with its Certificate of Completion.
- To send emails about the document: signing requests, reminders, and the completed copy.
- To let anyone holding a completed document confirm it's genuine.
- To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.
We don't sell personal information, use it for advertising, or use analytics or advertising trackers.
Who can see it
- The sender and the other signers of the same document. The completed document and its certificate list each signer's name, email, signing time, IP address, and browser. That record is what makes an electronic signature legally reliable.
- Service providers that run SignApp for us: Vercel (hosting and file storage), Neon (database), and Resend (email delivery). They process data only to provide those services.
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep staff signed in and to protect the sign-in form. Signers don't need an account, and we use no analytics or advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
Completed documents and their audit trails are the legal record of a signed agreement. We keep them for as long as the sending organization needs them, including any period the law requires. To ask about deleting your information, contact us at the address below.
Your choices
- You can decline to sign. The sender is notified and no further requests are sent.
- You can ask the sender for a paper copy of any document you sign.
- You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, subject to the record-keeping above.
